Wellness Visits
“A confidential conversation between an employee and a trained, trusted clinician
who can provide a space to share, reflect, and process any topic either professionally or personally.
Clinicians are able to provide guidance and resources if desired.”
A Note on Confidentiality:
Valor is committed to confidentiality and ensuring your safety. We are culturally-competent clinicians and take necessary measures to go above and beyond in maintaining trust with first responders and public safety workers during any interaction. Notes are not taken during any session and nothing is communicated/released after the session to administration, etc.
Our Services
-
Individual Wellness Visit
A confidential, personal session with a licensed therapist which focuses on the whole person: mentally, physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually. It is an opportunity for any individual to self-evaluate any possible areas of struggle and discuss next steps for coping.
In addition, resources or other support options may be suggested by the therapist who will listen and assess without judgment. Together, in a trusted space, the individual leaves feeling more aware, encouraged, and even prompted to better themselves. Resources and next steps may be suggested, but never required.

Group Wellness Visit
A one-time or periodically scheduled check-in for a group of individuals to gather, connect and share. Guided by a licensed therapist, this time is especially beneficial after a stressful event which was collectively experienced by the group. Everyone’s experience can be different and yet similar. Studies show that verbal processing will not only provide healing, it can also open-up new thoughts and feelings helping others process simply through listening. This comfort and encouragement is excellent wellness care.
*Sometimes group processing will activate emotions in which case the therapist will have resources in place for additional care if needed.
