Kyra Dininny
B.S., Counselor Intern
Kyra grew up in the beautiful countryside of Horseheads New York where she gained a deep respect for the outdoors and holistic wellness. Kyra moved to North Carolina to start a job in law enforcement after working in corrections and with children, however, she quickly felt a strong nudge to shift her focus to counseling military personnel, first responders and individuals affected by PTSD, along with other traumatic events. Krya has family in the military and law enforcement, so she understands the dynamics of a frontline family.
She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Health Science from Grand Canyon University in 2023 and has gained valuable experience working with individuals from all different backgrounds. Soon after, Kyra felt called to pursue a Masters degree at Liberty University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling to further her work with people.
Her goal is to create an empathic, safe and supportive environment for clients, empowering them on their healing journey while advocating for overall wellness. Kyra offers a clinical and theological perspective to counseling as she believes that every individual's story is different, but valuable. She is dedicated to understanding the client’s experiences and providing a space for them to work through whatever is needed.
